Thank you CutiePie! Some times Mommy needs to remind us kids. Language can sometimes play a major part in not understand the full meaning of things.
Again, THANK YOU for keeping on track with your love, guidence and patience.
I'm afraid that we have had some people acting overzealous, and it has driven away members who have really done nothing wrong. "Clutter" posts, although annoying, are not actually against forum rules. If you see them, please just report the incident to me so that I can "remind" the person doing it that it's preferred to make meaningful (ie. longer) posts and to send the little single sentence "thank you" notes and such as part of reputation marks. I have made announcements to this effect in the forums that are most frequently hit by this type of thing.
Please reserve your "whackaspamma" game for those who are in fact spamming the boards (that is, posting links to unrelated sites, especially "hidden" links, or making posts that are NOT on topic.)
Now, since I have said this, PLEASE don't let yourself feel offended if you feel this applies to you. I don't want anyone to have hard feelings. I'm just trying to keep our forum family happy and welcoming.

Not sure what I have missed. But I can sometimes do one liners....just trying to show my support to othe rmembers....LOL Oh well...whatever I will just have to type more and more....LMAO
don't worry Erika! what had happened does not apply to you, even if you only had time to write a one-liner from time to time - as we all do every now and then!
What you have missed were 2 members who within 2 or 3 days plastered the forum with together about 400 posts (!!!) by copying&pasting the same 4-word-text into almost every thread they found in certain subforums. This got a lot of people upset, because it got almost impossible to find "real" new conversations in the "Today's posts" list. One of them understood and joined us with nice conversations in the meantime, the other sadly decided to leave the forum. This is what Cutiepie was referring to.
Wienerin it is a shame that the one lady did not understand and left us but maybe there is a reason for that too. Random short posts are ok BUT.. Anyhow, CUTIEPIE has us on the right path now.

If i Have learned anything it is " if it can be abused it will" "there are people out there just looking for an opertunity to be offended"
Most people are not it is just the few that puts the kink in our day.
keep up the good work!
I post seldom and usually short because typing is difficult for me most days. Hope all can understand this.
Short, but meaningful posts (like you give us, TurtleOwl) are just fine. It is the repetitive "thank you" posts that say nothing else that are considered "clutter" since most of the rest of us who might read them just don't so much care. That is why I asked that they be sent a different way.
Love to see you all around, short posts or not!
And here I worry about me and my long winded posts. I have been known to fill up a whole page on one forum. Been trying to keep it short and to the point. DON'T always make it, but I do try. Hubby got a good laugh out of this one. Me "talk" more.
Thanks for the reminder. Many times I will go through the list of responses people have made and sometimes wonder why some responded at all. Either their sentence is so short it reminds me of text messaging or you feel like someone is trying to lure you away some place else.

I think I have been guilty of posting thanks and little else on the forums in the past. My foray into that no-no was a result of not understanding how to use other parts of the forum for such messages. This is a good reminder of how and where to post and might need repeating for those who either joined us recently or will join in the future. Most people do not intentionally misuse the forum. It is probably their just not understanding the rules.

I have never been known to be either quiet, shy or introverted. I have been called "motormouth" many times. Love to do this online. But hate, I mean truly hate, to talk on the phone. I do not see how people can talk to one person for 2 hours or more. Friend does it. She knows to make it short and simple to me. Just talked to her, computer problems, she finally said, "Gotta go, my 45 seconds is up."
