As summer ended, so did our exterior remodeling. The change in windows entailed some new curtains for the bedroom. We found a bedspread we liked, but curtains were not available until I found panels of the same fabric at Anna's Linens online.
So, I bought enough panels for the project. The valance is the upper portion of each panel. I used the lower 3/4 of the panel to make pinch pleated curtains. They look pretty good. (That valance which looks crooked is actually just an outward "bulge" because the fabric is so stiff. They ARE straight.)
Even though the curtains are lined, we added wooden blinds for complete privacy. We still need wall hangings or a tall headboard, but, we can do that anytime.
The porch you see out the window is part of our renovations and is wonderful!

There is always, always something to be thankful for.
How smart to to buy panels and remake them. They look great, you did a wonderful job on them. Thanks for sharing your wonderful success storie.

Thanks for the invite. My husband and I want to come to Canada, yes. In fact, we plan to come in the next year, but first, passports!
However, as for curtains.....well, probably not. I told my husband that these were the last ones -- ever -- that I would make because there are so many other things I prefer doing. Of course, by the time we need more curtains, I'll have forgotten that I said that, and we'll be off to the races again.
Your room looks devine, love the color, soft and restful. Thanks so much for posting these photos great work!

Love your bedroom. The window treatments and bed spread are gorgeous. You did a great job.
Thanks for all your nice comments. Originally, the color was a little out of my league, but my husband loved it. We have always had true pastels ....so, I was telling my Dad how I felt and that my husband was entirely happy with it. My Dad's answer was, "Well, maybe it's my son-in-law's turn to have what HE wants"!!!!!! Ha ha That is the truth, I guess.
Oh how beautiful, Thank you for sharing,I am now inspired to do a set for our new home when me move in at the end of Jan.
