These came out beautiful. How sweet of you. I love the one on the end with the fuzzy band to it.
One of our nurses is recovering from breast cancer and of course lost all of her beautiful hair. She asked me to crochet her a special cap but I can't read most of the instructionsBut I can knit and made her 2 caps this past week. She looks like a snow elf in them and loves it!
The other nurse told me her father could not find a cap he liked (color) so I made him a navy blue to keep his bare head warm!

Great Job, Teddy. I can sympathize with your friend about needing a head covering because when I shaved mine earlier this year I was surprised at how cold your head gets even in the summer!
teddy, you are such a wonderful person to do that for your friend's father! my cousin was diagnosed with lymphomal cancer just about 2 months ago, and is being treated for it. she has lost most of her hair also. i recently bought the pattern to make her some hats from Nancy Zieman. just haven't been able to make any yet. i bet she would love these even more! they look so comfy!
recently she developed a boil near her armpit and they had to do surgery on it. although she is doing better, she now has been diagnosed with MRSA and has had to reschedule her latest chemo treatment.

I would be honored to knit these for free for anyone who wants them, just send the address to me. I have TONS of yarn; they only take about 2 hours. Only one per request though please.

You caps came out great. No need to use patterns, when they come out this cute without any.
Your caps are very impressive and I am sure will be appreciated by the wearers. You are so kind to offer your time so freely to knit for others.

You did a wonderful job. Thanks for sharing.
you are so sweet keep up the great work we need more people like you on this earth
Wonderful hats and so thoughtful of you to make them.
I have just begun trying to knit a cap of Lion Brand Homespun yarn. You probably recognize it, but if not, it is a bulky yarn with nubs. It is beautiful, but the pattern I have calls for several rows of purling and, as a beginner, oh, it's tough.
Do you or anyone else out there know why the first 6 rows would be purled, vs. knit? Is it just for the pattern or is there some other reason?
These are great teddy![]()
They fluffy one is very cute, great work![]()
I just saw your comment about Lion Brand yarn's site. Isn't it a great one? I saw this cap there, too, but I think it is beyond my skills yet. The one I'm making now is the purl/knit one that I think we talked about before. It is turning out quite pretty, thanks to the variegated yarn! What a wonderful project you are doing with the chemo caps. Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven. People like you make the world a little nicer bit by bit!
