Hi Dorie, As I read your msg, I was saying "O my God" it was really a terrible day. Take care of yourself and your mom. She need to rest well. My mom had the same problem a year back, she fell down and broke her femoral head(Hip). It got replaced by a steel ball on surgery. After a month's rest with mild exercise she can walk now. My prayers to both of you. Take good care!! My prayers for your surgery.

Well today my Mom was given two pints of blood and they plan on doing a colonoscopy on her Monday.
Have missed posting things that have happened. She was taken from nursing home rehab early 4am on Friday morning with bleeding from rectum. Admitted her to hospital, she told them when they brought her up to her room she could walk to the bed, they sat her up on side of bed and she told them she was getting sick to her stomach and woozy, well she fell face first onto the nurse and fell to the floor, I headed in and she was partway sitting up and then fell backwards. I could hear them ask her could she straighten out her leg figured one of the legs or hips was broken. She had lost so much blood when they sat her up she passed out. She also now has a bladder infection. Thanks everyone for your prayers not getting time to answer all the emails or play here for now.

She has had a very rough time hasn't she? I do hope that there will be treatments that begin to address the problems and her condition will improve. We understand that you have little time for other things at the moment - it is good to hear from you when you are able. Hang in there....

Oh my goodness, Dorie. I'm so sorry to read this update. I hope and pray your mom is better today and recovers quickly. Bless her heart, she's having a rough time of it and sending best wishes and extra special prayers for her and you.

Another update. They did the colonoscopy on Monday, yeah good news the bleeding was coming from a polyp and an irregular blood vessel so they fixed both of them, gave her another pint of blood yesterday. Today they moved her back to the rehab she wanted to go there for a day or two to make sure she wasn't going to start bleeding again. So hopefully now she will start feeling better. They also said she was having way too much exercise on her leg especially the ones like you would do to make a snow angel. Moving the leg from side to the middle so that is off the schedule. So glad to here that they were able to take care of her! Also glad that she has somewhere to go that they can keep an eye on her for a few days! I haven't been here for a while either so I had to read a few pages to get caught up on all the news. I am still praying for the drs to be able to take care of your hand. I am praying for the best!!!
