Your towels look great. We are all so critical of ourselves. Others never notice what we see in the work we do.

Whenever I start feeling discouraged, I show
my husband what I made, and he alwyas has high praise for it..and it soothes my ego......but, in retrospect, I wonder if he is
praising it because he is afraid I will upgrade my sewing machine..again. LOL

This was a customers shirt and I was sure they would want me to go and get a new one and forget about what I thought was a disaster. But my friend who worked in the commercial business told me to wait and see what they said, The came loved it, paid and left very happy. Since then I have begun to be less critical and try to get opinions from people who are consumers and not embroiderers.

Funny you should say that about your husband...hummmm. My husband is always so kind about my work too.
Life is too short even on the longest days.

My DH has never criticized my sewing or embroidery. But he is always reserved when I talk of a new machine.I know he doesn't want to buy a new one for me. Not now anyway.

I like to use the 3 foot rule when looking at my designs. Always stand back 3 feet from your work. It generally looks much better. If that doesn't work, try the galloping horse rule.

I've done a zillion towels. Honestly, lots and lots. I do mostly monograms and crochet on the top to make the "oven" towels. I looked at your picture. You know there is a difference. I knew it so I was looking for it. Trust me, no body else will see it unless you point it out. Don't worry about it. They look nice.
