Tndenim...It's good y'all got her to the hospital. I will keep her in my prayers for a speedy recovery. I know how stressful this can be so Take care of your self and I will be thinking of her and you and your sister.
I've had a rough night last night and a very long day today. My Aunt Bert called last night so I would remind my sister that she has a bill that needs paid. sis helps her take care of her banking. And then she procedded to tell me that she's been real sick all week and feels very bad. She even called her minister yesterday and had hij come out to spend time with her. And she said a few other things that amounted to she might not be there come morning. She lives in an assisted living center.
So sis and I get up and go visit her this morning and end up getting her in the hospital. She has pnuemonia, water on her lungs and heart problems. She has been talking about not leaving the hosital one minute and then plans for things going on next week the moment. She is in a lot of pain right now. She's 89 and he health in not always the best.
Sis and I spent most of the day at the hospital with her today in the ER. They kept here there for about 4 hours before getting her moved up to a room. Needless to say - it has been a long stressful night and day.

Sorry to hear this news about your aunt. Wishing her a restful night and hope she feels better soon. She's where she needs to be and glad y'all got her there. Special thoughts and prayers for y'all.
Thanks for your prayers ladies. I appreciate them. She's always been pretty special to me and even more so now since my folks died 20 years ago. But I also know that she is 89 and has lived a long and productive life. And she is ready when the Lord calls her - I'm just not ready to loose her. I am thinking positive and I believe she will be ok. At least that's what I'm telling myself as I go to bed here tonight. Bless ya'll.
My prayers are with you and your Aunt..(and SIS) I am so glad you can be there for her. My heart goes out to you and yours..God Bless

There is always, always something to be thankful for.
Prayers headed upwards for your family and your Aunt.
I understand completely what you are feeling. Everyone says 89 is a full life, but it is hard to let go to any you love at any age. Love and prayers for you Both. I hope she responds well to her treatment.

Hope she gets well soon. Thoughts and prayers are with her
Thanks ya'll. It's ggod to know so many wonderful caring people exist out there. Aunt Bert was moved into ICU during the night with "heart discomfort". But she's doing pretty good this afternoon. My other aunt and her husband have just got back from there.
Me and sis had to go to laundramat. Danged dryer quit working. No heat. Got to have clothes for work tomorrow. Suis wil check in with her tomorrow. She works just a short distance from hospital.
Again thanks for your prayers. I'll tell my aunt ya'll wish her well.
So sorry to hear about your aunt. I am really glad you were there for her and got her to the hospital. I have a very dear aunt also and I know what you mean by not being ready to let go!! She is the last living sibling of my mother. Sending love and prayers your way..Joyce
Thanks Dolly. My mom and dad both had large families - Theyboth had 9 kids in weach. Mom's brother's and sisters are all gone now. Dad has three sisters left. Aunt Bert being the oldest. One of them lives back up in Ohio - the other lives next door to me. So we are all close.
My aunt is still is bad shape. She is very confused at times. She told my other aunt today that she needed to go back her house and wealk her puppies - She was referring to the fabric patchwork puppies she makes - well at least we thing so since she hasn't had a dog in 30 years or more. there is no real change either - just stays the same - not better - but not worse either. Sis and I jump everytime the phone rings. Afraid of the worst.
The doctor called us in yesterday for basically an "end of life" discussion. Do they or do they not try to bring her back if she codes. She already has a DNR on file. And the whole family agerees with that. It';s the way that most of us feel. She's 89 and she's at peace and is ready when her time comes.
I don't want to loose her - but I don't want her to suffer either. It's a hard thing.
Well thank you all for your prayers and your concern.
I certainly can feel your pain! It hurts because you love her and it's hard to see her like that. It wouldn't hurt so bad if you didn't love her so much! Joyce
