newbie from ga

I am new to this and have no idea what I am doing. I have wanted to talk to others for a long time but have been afraid of doing it all wrong. So today I just decided to take the plunge. I enjoy embroidery and quilting and try to combine the two as often as possible

Welcome mimshan. Are you new to embroidery or just new to forums? I was new to both when I found DBS. The peope here are very friendly and helpful. We've all been new at one time, so everyone remembers that and we encourage all newbies. Glad you found this site and hope you'll enjoy your time here.

Welcome mimshan, I too am in Ga would be great if we lived close to each other, I live in Canton. I haven't been a member too long but it is easy to get around here and everyone is so helpful it won't take you long to figure this site out. If you have a question just holler someone will be along in just a bit and answer your questions.

I have been doing embroidery for about 3 years now. Been quilting for about 10. I get real frustrated with embroidery because I make a lot of mistakes and know no one who does it that can help me. I do have a lot of quilter friends that sympathize but they don't know how to help me find solutions. My method of learning is reading and trial and error(a lot of error)

Welcome to the forum. You can find a lot of helpful people here. Don't worrie about making mistakes, we all have done it. The great thing is how much you can learn from them. With everyone here we have learned alot together.
So don't be shy, just join in. Hope to see a few of your projects when you get a chance.

Hi dorie,
I have very fond memories of living off Bells Ferry in the Town Lake area. Made some wonderful friends that I treasure staying in touch with. Moved there in 85 & left in 99. We really loved being near the lake and enjoyed our pontoon until it got too crowded. It seems like yesterday. It is hard to believe we have been gone 10 years.
