Well done for speaking your mind to Burda - how she thought she would get away with 639016 votes! I don't know how you could avoid spammers in a competition like that (or how you could be a spammer for that matter) as I'm not too savvy about that sort of thing.
Of course I'm sorry you didn't win, but I'm glad the contestant that you supported won.
I rarely enter competitions because they can never be 'fair' with such a wide spectrum of entries and entrants.
Maybe the answer is to only enter small contests where the prize is not so grand.
