Thanks for the clarification. When you said biscuits I thought biscuits but after slashie said vanilla wafers would do it too I now know you mean cookie as biscuit.

I find it interesting the different names for the same things that vary from country to country. Like the trunk of a car and the boot of the car. I work with folks in IAustralia and all over Europe and I get a laugh sometimes when we start talking.

So bisquits and cookies are the same thing - cool.

Thanks, Tweetee. These will taste really good. I'll just take a small peck out of each one to make sure. You know, that's what ol' birds do... Maybe you should place only one in front of me at a time. Then I can peck up a storm. LOL

La Cole, Were you pecking at the computer screen again today to get more chocolate balls!!

Tweetee, Only give La Cole one chocolate ball at a time, otherwise she is going to take little pecks out of each of them...save some for us!!!

YAY! I can get all those ingredients here in New Zealand - so looked to see who posted the recipe and where they are from - no wonder I understood the ingredients - just over the ditch in Oz.

Chokladbollar

1 1/2 c quick-cooking oatmeal
1/4 c sugar
6 Tbsp butter, softened
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp coffee
coconut for rolling in

Combine butter, sugar, oats (mind you don't use the instant packets), cocoa powder, vanilla, and coffee. Roll into balls about the size of a meatball. Roll balls in coconut to decorate. Eat right away, or refrigerate, or freeze if you prefer a harder consistency.

Chocolate Balls.

1 packet of digestive biscuits, about 250g or 8oz pack.
1 tin of condensed milk,
1cup of desiccated coconut
3 tablespoons of cocoa
Some spare coconut to roll the balls in.

crush biscuits with a rolling pin on a clean tablecloth,
Put the crushed biscuits into a biggish bowl, then add the cocoa, coconut and lastly the condensed milk.

Mix together, to form a firmish ball, not too wet or sloppy, because they will not hold together properly after they are rolled, and go out of shape. If too wet add some more crushed biscuits.

Roll mixture into balls, not too big, just big enough to pop into your mouth.

Then roll them in coconut, and store in the fridge in an airtight container.

Stick it all in a bowl baby, stir it with a wooden spoon
Mix in a cup of flour, you'll be in heaven soon
quarter cup of unsweetened choclate
and a half a cup of brandy
throw in a bag or two of sugar
and just a picj of vanilla
grease up a cookie sheet (cause I hate when my balls stick)
then preheat the oven to 350
and give that spoon a lick
