My votes are in for the single butterflies.

I have 3D Studio and add new color stops/changes frequently. An example is in my album using lace letters from EmbLibrary which I edited from a one-color design to 2- and 3-colors.

Yes. This is available in 4D extra only..go in edit mode on left side where you see modify. The icon with the plus sign is the insert color change.
Use Insert Color Change to add a new color change at the point where you click.

Click the icon and the pointer changes to the insert color pointer . Then click on the stitch where you want the color change. The Color Selection dialog box is displayed for you to select the thread color for the new color change.
After you have selected a thread color, the stitches on the embroidery are displayed in the new color after the new color change and up to the next color change.
When you select the Design page of the control panel you will see the new color block in sequence in the color worksheet according to where you inserted the Color Change command.
Insert Color Change allows you to insert only one Color Change. You must reselect the function for each color change you wish to insert. To cancel the function, right-click before you click to place a color change, or click Cancel in the Color Selection dialog box.
