I am sorry everyone for all the posts this afternoon. Think I could find out to attach this photo. Still don't know how I got to get it on the net, but here's hoping it will give you some idea of what this like now I finished it. As you can see I always get carried away with the embroidering, but once I start I can't stop. Now for embroidering a towel, hand towel and washer for Dad for Father's Day, then a huge tablecloth for the daughter for Xmas. That is going to take me some time. So sorry again for all the mess ups. Have a lovely afternoon.

      Cheers Shirley

What a lovely little curtain Shirley - it is bound to raise a smile for all your 'captive' audiences in your 'little room'!
When is Aussie father's day? I bet he'd like a towel with one of the 'dunnys' embroidered on it! - or maybe the Aussie tweety tree?
As for the huge table cloth - that is exactly what I did for my mum the first year I got my machine - it took an AGE to do - but I was SO proud of it when it was finished (the night before we left to go there for Christmas!) - you have a little more time than I gave myself, so good luck, and get stitching!

How cute. I love the outhouses. I've one bathroom in mine that has a border of outhouses. Now that shower curtain would look real nice in it - lol!

What a cute and different curtain. Love the outhouses. I've been looking at them and wondering what to do with them. Glad you figured out how to post. It came be a tricky thing.

Wonderful idea on how to use the outhouses. I like the way the designs are scattered about the curtain to take up a lot of space. Good job.

What a great idea! It looks lovely and really nice to cover up that little window that seems to acumulate dust. I think I might take a leaf out of your book and make one for my toilet too! Absolutley lovely, you should be proud of yourself

      Good Morning Everyone,

I am glad everyone liked the curtain. Yes, it is a small window in the toot and thought this would brighten it up for the grandkids. I was hoping I would have room to put a design on it as well about hygiene after visiting, but will have to make up one for the bathroom with bathroom designs after all of my other projects and put that design on it. As for Father's Day in Aussie Mottoandnutty, it is this coming Sunday. It is the first Sunday in September, and Mother's Day is the second weekend in May.

Have to have my first cup of coffee. Have a great day or night everyone. Cheers Shirley

Thanks everyone. My husband and I definitely had some laughs when we were looking at the designs. Sorry Sick I bought these designs from Emb Library. I have some lovely designs from Sick as well, but wanted the old outhouses for this project. I can't wait until the grandchildren arrive and hear their comments. I bet London to a brick that they don't believe we use to use these outhouses as children. Have a great day.

I remember brick-built outhouses with beautifully polished wooden seats and torn newspaper on a hook for use as TP! And even when I was teenage there were many homes that had their WC at the end of the garden path!
Three cheers for SOME forms of progress!

      Hi mottoandnutty,

Yes progress hurrah!! Mind you when the septic was introduced to us at primary school we all hated it as the water would splash up and spray our toshes. We wanted the old toots back. However, NOT NOW THAT IS FOR SURE I HAVE FELT THAT WAY FOR THE PAST FIFTY EIGHT YEARS. Oh Oh that's giving away the age ha ha, I don't mind some things were great in that era, no locking doors, being able to go out and not worry if you would get mugged. Back to outhouses. Ours were only made of wood, what I mean by that Granny and Grandad's outhouse and ours were only wood and spiders and snakes and frogs would occupy, yuk!!!! definitely do not miss those things. I can't wait until the kids see the curtain and hear their comments. I loved the croonin moon, might put that on something else at some time. As I said love Sick designs but got these from Emb Library. I am going to use On The Wild Side design and Bad to The Bone (not on tooty curtain) as my signuature. I just love them. It is coming into our night mottoandnutty. It is now five twenty p.m. Monday 31st August. Have a lovely night or day mottoandnutty. Talk soon.

      Cheers Shirley

      shirley

you did a fantastic job. both with making the curtain, and posting the pix. i still haven't figured that one out yet! lol... yeah, i definately remember using these as a child, and then as an adult while traveling from California to Missouri. the rest stops in Califorinia have regular bathrooms in them, but in some states, they use those Port-a-Potty things. ugh!!!

      hurray for progress...

      Good Morning Debi and jstitch,

Glad you liked the designs everyone. Believe me Debi it was hilarious trying to put the picture on the net. I won't be able to do it again until I roam around and strike it by chance. I had hubby trying to tell me how to do it and that didn't work. Still don't know how to get it on straight away. Read the frequently asked questions and they said something about new threads you have to get to or new posts and they have attachments listed at the bottom, as I said it was pure luck I struck on it, then trying to put the attachment into it. I had saved the picture as a png and that is why it would not upload to the site. I use a programme called Digital Image for fixing my pics and I am always changing something with them. If I save it as a png then I can go to the original picture again. If I save it as anything else it remains with the changes. Sounded like double dutch didn't that. Well have to run everyone, have a great day, I have come down with some bug and have a doctor's appointment this morning. Yuk!.

      Cheers Shirley
